THE EAGLE HAS LANDED.

Check out this up and coming local lad who's nudging his way onto the radar of the photography fraternity. He's just been nominated for AOP Assistants Awards and is about to 'go large'. Nick Eagle is also a thoroughly pleasant lad to boot. Use him.

DROP DEAD GORGEOUS.

We’ve just launched the first ever TV spot for Missguided.co.uk. The ads feature models who have shuffled off this mortal coil having worn gorgeous day and evening pieces from the Christmas party collection.

Uber Account Director, Alan Baker, said of the project: ‘It’s been so exciting working with the Missguided team on this campaign. They are a growing online fashion retailer and their clothing range is so on trend that we had to develop a creative route that encapsulated everything they stand for as well as being seductive for the consumer. I think the clothes speak for themselves but I like to think we have added even more depth to the brand.’

FEAST YOUR MINCE PIES.

Ubers latest campaign for DFS sees the sofa retailer teaming up with Arthur Christmas, the 3D, CG-animated film from Aardman Animations for Sony Pictures Animation, and the promotion launched this week in the UK.

Uber worked closely with Sony Pictures Animation and Aardman, enlisting the Elves from the film to help deliver DFS sofas to homes across the UK in time for Christmas.

“We wanted to bring a visually striking element to the campaign and by working closely with the team at Sony Pictures Animation, we were able to do that,” said Uber MD Greg Clark. “The movie is about every child’s question – ‘How does Santa deliver two billion presents, all in one night?’ – and that is a perfect fit with DFS’s Christmas delivery message.”

SKY PLUS.

Activision, leading games publisher of such titles as Modern Warfare 3 and the Guitar Hero series have turned to possibly the best entertainment industry creative specialists in the history of the universe to produce the creative collateral for their ground-breaking new release, Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure.

It is expected to be one of the best selling kids gifts this Christmas. The inventive new product launch was not only new territory for Activision, but for the agency too as Richard Benjamin, Managing Director of Uber explains: ‘We have vast experience in the entertainment industry yet this is the first time we have had the challenge of targeting both Toys ‘R’ Us customers and the traditional video gamers. After many years creativity in the games industry however, it was refreshing for the product itself to be pushing us into unknown territory.’

PERFIK.

PerfectHome has appointed Uber to raise awareness of and drive footfall to its stores and assist in new store developments.

We’ve developed an 18-month strategy including a full multichannel approach of TV, press, door-to-door, radio, online and social.

Alan Baker, account director at Uber, said: “This is another great win. It really shows how effective a campaign can be when strategy, creative, planning and media work hand-in-hand. ”

Mike Cooper, commercial director at PerfectHome, added: “We needed to work with a team that would help us to achieve this, and it was clear from the outset that Uber were the ones to do it.”

HEAVEN SCENT.

We’ve just created the Christmas TV Campaign for The Perfume Shop. Matt Walburn, marketing director at The Perfume Shop, said: "We are very excited to be working with Über on the next phase of our TV strategy, which acts to showcase our brand benefits to a wider audience. Über have the pedigree to successfully combine a strong retail message with the key emotional engagement delivered by the exciting brands we sell." Congratulations Rob ‘Davidoff’ Sandom and Alan ‘Just Different’ Baker for securing the win. The commercial was shot by Greg Clark through Ink Films.

VERY SNORRY.

It’s been a win, win, pitch, pitch, win, win, kinda situation at HQ in the last couple of months so forgive our tardiness updating the blog.

As part of our penance we’re donating a whole post to something soft and fluffy to warm the cockles of your cold, cold hearts.
